Hard ferrite (Ceramic) magnets take more than 75% of the world magnet production and have won wide acceptance due to their good resistance to demagnetization, excellent corrosion resistance and low price.
Compared to neodymium magnets, the adhesive force of ferrite magnets is much weaker. On the other hand, they are cheaper, suitable for outside use (rust-resistant) and can take heat up to 250 °C. If size and volume are less important than price, ferrite magnets can be a good alternative to neodymium magnets.
The chemical composition of magnets is iron oxide, barium and strontium elements. SrO-6(Fe2O3)or BaO-6(Fe2O3).
